If you like nothing more than to bet on football games, you will no doubt have already turned your attention to the upcoming season, and who will be lifting the Vince Lombardi trophy at the end. It doesn’t even matter than pre-season has not started yet, we simply cannot wait until the season gets underway. To whet your appetite for the new season of NFL, we have put together our predictions on who could win the Super Bowl next year and why, check them out and let us know what you think.
New England Patriots
The Pats are like a bad penny that won’t go away when it comes to the favorites for Super Bowl success, at least not as long as they still have Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick in their franchise. Despite some internal issues in New England, they have managed to keep their squad together and look set to try and win Brady his 6th Super Bowl ring.
Philadelphia Eagles
The reason why the Eagles won the Super Bowl last year was because of their sensational defense, which has only got better throughout the off-season after bringing in Michael Bennett. Carson Wentz has overcome injury problems and he will be far more of a force than Nick Foles, who had a phenomenal post-season. Assuming that the Eagles can get off to a good start, and if Jay Ajayi plays the way that we know he can, the Eagles will be front-runners for the season ahead.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steeler’s season came to a grinding halt last year, which forced them to look within their ranks for what they can do better this time around. Whilst we haven’t seen too much trade activity, Pittsburgh have changed many aspects of training and introduced young talent like Juju Smith-Schuster, who looks ready to show the world what he has got. With Antonio Brown fired up, Le-Von Bell who is the league’s best running back, and of course, Big Ben with his wealth of experience, Steelers could mount a challenge this year.
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams were unlucky last year when they lost to Atlanta in the playoffs after a brilliant regular season performance, finishing with an 11-5 record. A year older and a year smarter however, this young Rams team will be looking to improve on last year and will be looking to Todd Gurley to drive the charge. Sean McVay is a smart coach who will unlock even more potential from LA this year.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings will have gained much experience after being destroyed by eventual winners the Eagles in the playoffs last year. The combination of Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook will excite Vikings fans and as long as that offense keeps blowing teams away, the Vikings will certainly be in line for a Super Bowl shot in 2019.
