Which Teams Are the Early Super Bowl LVI Contenders?
Although the NFL season is still young and there are a lot of games to go, there are some clear standout outfits that look like they could be Super Bowl winners in the making. Whilst it’s almost impossible to rule any team out yet, we’ve picked out some of the early contenders that look like they could make a real challenge for Super Bowl LVI.
Arizona Cardinals
The only team currently unbeaten in the NFL, the Arizona Cardinals have gotten off to a blistering 4-0 start, with wins coming against the Titans, Vikings, Jaguars, and the Rams.
With each of their victories coming in high scoring games, it looks like the Cardinals offense could be a massive problem for teams this season. For those betting on American Football, the Cardinals are +1400 to win the Superbowl outright. With a few tough fixtures to come in the schedule, it will be interesting to see if Arizona can hold up their perfect start to the season.
Los Angeles Rams
After making the divisional playoffs last season, the Los Angeles Rams will be hoping to build on that success. They’ve got off to a great start, by beating the Bears, Colts, Seahawks, and last season’s Super Bowl winners, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Rams have only slipped to one defeat, coming at home to the Cardinals. The Rams great start to the season can be partially attributed to new quarterback Matthew Stafford, who was traded from the Detroit Lions after the end of last season. With Stafford in the team, LA look like a genuine threat and they are currently the bookies’ fourth favourites to win the Super Bowl at a price of +900.
Kansas City Chiefs
It’s no surprise that, in line with the latest NFL betting tips, the Kansas City Chiefs are still the bookies’ favourites to win Super Bowl LVI. After winning Super Bowl LIV, they fell short in the LV final, where they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite not having the best start to this season with a record of 2-2, the Chiefs are still a team that is capable of causing all kinds of problems for the opposition. The Chiefs fell to narrow defeats at Baltimore and against the LA Chargers in week two and week three but were able to bounce back against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 4 with a 42-30 victory. Kansas City will feel that they have a few wrongs to right this season, and it’s no surprise that the team led by QB Patrick Mahomes is still the bookies favourite at a price of +550.

It will be interesting to see whether the teams that have made blistering starts can continue their good form, or whether experience will pay off for teams such as the Chiefs.
