Which 8 teams will play in the XFL-USFL merger?
By Richard Suter
Professional football in the post-NFL slot has combined to form one league this coming March. The XFL and USFL made the deal official, eliminating the competition for audience/fans during the spring season while perhaps improving the overall product.
Out of the 16 teams across the leagues, only eight will remain for the March 2024 kickoff — four from the XFL and four from the USFL.
Which teams? Here’s the rundown…
Arlington Renegades (XFL)
DC Defenders (XFL)
San Antonio Brahmas (XFL)
St. Louis Battlehawks (XFL)
Birmingham Stallions (USFL)
Houston Gamblers (USFL)
Memphis Showboats (USFL)
Michigan Panthers (USFL)
