The Budapest Cowbells from Hungary open their Central European Football League Eastern Conference 2016 campaign by hosting the powerful SBB Vukovi Belgrade from Serbia.
Vukovi defeated the Cowbells in their only encounter in 2016 52-36.
The Cowbells enter the game bent on gaining a win after suffering a tough defeat at the hands of the Miskolc Steelers in the opening game of the season. Head coach Karim Trabelsi will look to the leadership of Michael Smith on the defensive line. Running back Márton Czirók scored a touchdown against the Steelers and is not easy to bring down and could give the Vukovi front seven some problems.
The Belgraders rely on running back Mihailo Josović who scored a touchdown last week against the Wild Boars while new quarterback Luis Kindle is beginning to feel more comfortable. Last week he threw a touchdown pass to Duane Brady.
Vukovi opened the season with an easy 41-7 win over the Meridian Indians.
