The Warsaw Eagles and Husaria Szczecin square off in the third weekend of play in Poland.
The Eagles, perennial playoff contenders in Poland, have opened the 2016 season with a disappointing 27-12 loss to the Bialystok Lowlanders.
Meanwhile, the Husaria enter this game against the Eagles with a 1-1 record. In their opener, they were trounced by 2016 Polish finalists, the Wroclaw Panthers, 51-0. They rebounded though last week with a 24-6 win over the Warsaw Sharks.
Key performers for Husaria include Mario Brown who is back for his third season, as well as Christian Foster and Dylann Rauch.
For the Eagles, new head coach Dan Levy has welcomed back Charles McRae in the defensive secondary who has been joined by Cody Smith (Allgau Comets, Germany) along with Andre Whyte. Eoin O Sullivan (South Dublin Panthers, Ireland) has signed on as assistant head coach.
In their only meeting in 2015, the Eagles beat Husaria 36-27 in a close game. The two teams finished 4th (Eagles) and 5th in the standings last year with Warsaw making the playoffs in Poland with a 6-4 record.
