UK’s BAFANL National League: Watford Cheetahs wrap up 2013 against Kent Exiles

“…request from the Cheetahs coaches: FINISH STRONG!!”

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]unday, August 18th, 2013 the Watford Cheetahs ) (5-4) will host the Kent Exiles (8-1) in what’s to be the last game of the regular season for both clubs. The playoff bound Exiles will have to make the journey up the M25 to face the Cheetahs at Queens School in Bushey.

The last month has provided a deafening request from the Cheetah coaches: FINISH STRONG. The players have in no doubt responded as July / August has seen the Cheetahs string together a three-game winning streak which they fully expect to keep intact. The Exiles have other plans.

The last time these two teams matched up, it looked as if the Cheetahs would run away with the game as they quickly went up by two scores. However, the second half saw the Cheetahs turn the ball over four times and the well-disciplined Exiles would take advantage, coming back to win 34-20.

Since that loss, the Cheetahs have refocused and fought their way back to the 3rd spot of their division. With the Exiles heading into the playoffs the starters may be spared, but the Cheetahs will remain focused and prepare for battle with whoever lines up across from them.

Playing in arguably the National League’s toughest division, the Watford Cheetahs will look to answer the bell and finish this season off STRONG!!!
