The Yeditepe Eagles have added wide receiver Terryon Robinson (Western Carolina, NCAA Div. I, FCS) to the roster for the 2021 season.
The 5’11”, 190 pound native of Decateur, Georgia enjoyed an outstanding four year career playing for the Western Carolina Catamounts, finishing with 230 receptions, shattering Western Carolina’s all-time career receptions mark, while recording 2,839 receiving yards, fifth at the time in school history.
He then suffered a partially pulled hamstring at the Pro Day at Appalachian State in 2018 and after tryouts with the CFL and XFL, he was set to fly out to play for a team in the German Football League in 2020 before the pandemic shut everything down.
Kasey Crosby, Director of Football Operations and Co-Defensive Coordinator:
“We are extremely excited to have Terryon with us for the 2021 season. He comes as an extremely accomplished player at the D1-AA level, holding receiving records at Western. We know he will be very productive and consistent for our offense and return game just like he was in college. We can’t wait to watch his contribution on and off the field in our hunt for a Turkish title.”
The Turkish league is scheduled to start June 15 winding up on September 15.
