Top games to look forward to in the NFL schedule this coming season
The 2020 NFL season is to get underway on September 10th with the 32 teams involved fighting it out every week to advance to the play-offs. The showpiece Super Bowl LV will be in early February next year.
Punters using the sportsbook at Best NJ Online Casino will have 256 games to bet on during the regular season. Here are a few of the top clashes to look forward to.
Buccaneers at Giants
All eyes will be on Tom Brady this year as he adjusts to life in Tampa. One of the more fascinating matchups for the six-time Super Bowl winner will be the Buccaneer’s visit to the MetLife Stadium. Two of Brady’s three Super Bowl defeats were at the hands of the Giants in 2008 and 2012 – although though he has fared better in regular season matchups, winning four out of the five meetings.
Chiefs at Buccaneers
Brady will also be eager to lock horns with Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes in what is set to be their fourth clash in the NFL. Brady’s offseason switch is the first in his career, while Mahomes is fresh off an incredible Super Bowl winning year. The former will have wide receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans to run the lines and old favorite Rob Gronkowski will be back in tow. Will it be enough to unseat a Chiefs side inspired by Andy Reid and Tyrann Mathieu?
Cowboys at Ravens
Dallas Cowboys’ trip to the Ravens is set to be one of the most exciting regular-season games. Two quality young QBs, Dak Prescott and Lamar Jackson, will take center stage alongside potent attacking forces, defenses that can mix it up, and two veteran head coaches with Super Bowl-winning experience. This matchup has all the ingredients to be a classic.
It’s also a must-win for the Ravens who have a tricky home schedule, though they have history on their side (4-1 in previous games). Dallas had a great draft after CeeDee Lamb and Trevon Diggs, amongst others, joined the ranks. They are set to be fierce NFC challengers in 2020.
Chiefs at Raiders
The Raiders will move into the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, this season after 25 years in the Bay Area. Las Vegas can start a new chapter in their history in style by turning over long-time rivals and reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs who are the current favorites to lift the Lombardi trophy for a second successive year.
Chiefs at Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens are second-favorites to win Super Bowl LV, and the clash with the Chiefs at the M&T Bank Stadium could be the defining game in the AFC.
Kansas registered a win over the Ravens in the early part of the 2019 campaign. However, that spurred Baltimore into action, and John Harbaugh’s side only lost a single game on home soil during the regular season. The Ravens eventually went down 12-28 against the Titans in the playoffs.
The Chiefs risk having to return to Baltimore in the play-offs if they don’t win there during the regular season, so it will arguably be their most important game.
49ers at Patriots
The San Francisco 49ers are expected to be in the mix once again and are third favorites to win Super Bowl LV. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will get his first chance to take on former team New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium during the regular season.
