Sweden: Uppsala 86ers add Australian DL Tim Clulow

The Uppsala 86ers, 2018 Swedish Superserien semifinalists, have signed another Australian, defensive lineman, Tim Clulow, for the 2019 season.

The 6’2″, 275 lb, 26 year old Clulow from Sydney, Australia who has played for the UTS Gators (Gridiron NSW) for over 10 years, has several junior and senior New South Wales championships for Australia on his track record.

Uppsala head coach Acke Grünewald:

“With his size and experience, Tim will be a terrific addition on our offensive line and if necessary also on defense. We have studied Tim on film and he looks very good. His former coach says he is the fastest line player he has seen.”

Uppsala’s collaboration with Australian players began in 2015 when Jared Stegman played quarterback. Since then, every year at least one Australian has been in the team.

Uppsala opens the 2019 season on the road on the weekend of April 13/14 when they travel to Örebro to play the Örebro Black Knights.
