It has been an exciting opening four weeks of the 2024/25 NFL season, with plenty of shocks through that period. As we head into week five of the regular season, the Super Bowl picture is becoming clearer.
There are just two teams that remain unbeaten, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings are 4-0. Here is a look at the favourites to lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy in February.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs are bidding for a third straight Super Bowl success this season. The last team to manage that feat was the New England Patriots in 2017. After an excellent start to 2024, the AFC champions look on course for another shot at the trophy at the end of the playoffs.

Kansas City have recorded victories over the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers. They are now the 5/1 favourites for the Super Bowl. New users can sign-up with bet365 and receive up to $1000 in free bets to use on the NFL this season.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has thrown 904 passing yards through his opening four games this year. The two-time NFL MVP has already led his team to three Super Bowl wins in his career and should he land a fourth, he will join an elite club of QBs.
San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers have reached at least the NFC Championship game in four of the last five seasons, showing a great amount of consistency in that period. The NFC West team were beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs at Super Bowl LIV and Super Bowl LVIII.
Kyle Shanahan’s side are second best in the Super Bowl betting this season at 13/2 with bet365. They have a strong roster which includes quarterback Brock Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey and defensive end Nick Bosa.
The 49ers have had a mixed start to the season through their opening four games. They were impressive in their opening match against the New York Jets, beating Aaron Rodgers’ team 32-19. They also proved too strong for the New England Patriots, prevailing 30-13. However, they have suffered defeats at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings and divisional rivals Los Angeles Rams.

The Baltimore Ravens have one of the strongest offenses in the NFL and it has been evident through the opening four weeks. They have scored 20 points or more in each of those matches, including an impressive victory over the Buffalo Bills.
Lamar Jackson was named the NFL MVP last season, and a lot of the Ravens’ hopes rest on their talented dual-purpose quarterback. He has scored five passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns so far in the campaign.
Baltimore are third best in the Super Bowl betting at 8/1 with bet365. They are likely to be fighting it out for the AFC Conference title with the Chiefs, while in the AFC North, the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-1) look set to be their strongest competition for the division.
The 2024/25 NFL season comes to an end on the 9th of February, with Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, Louisiana.
