Stuttgart Surge shatter ELF scoring record with dominant win over Milano Seamen
Just hours after the Wroclaw Panthers put up 73 points on the Prague Lions to set the European League of Football record for most points in a single game, the Stuttgart Surge stripped them of their record, whipping the Milano Seamen 78-27. The previous scoring record was held by the Hamburg Sea Devils, who defeated the Istanbul Rams 70-0 in 2022.
The matchup was initially a back-and-forth competitive thriller. Luke Zahradka opened up scoring for Milano with a 26-yard touchdown pass to Juan Flores-Calderon, before the Seamen managed to double their score with a punt return touchdown from Devan Burrell on the next drive. Kenyatte Allen scored the Surge back-to-back passing touchdowns before both teams would go on to exchange scores before the end of the half. Stuttgart entered halftime with a 35-27 lead over Milano.

The second half was a completely different story, as the Surge instantly pulled away from the Seamen. The third quarter saw a rushing touchdown from Allen as well as a score through the air to Yannick Mayr, putting the Surge up 47-27.

In the final period, Stuttgart put up a ridiculous 31 unanswered points. Kicker Lenny Krieg split the uprights from 34 yards out before Kenyatte Allen and backup quarterback Janis Kaiser found receivers in the endzone three times. To rub salt into the wound, Lasse Engel returned a blocked field goal 85 yards for the Surge’s final score.

In his second appearance for Stuttgart, Kenyatte Allen passed for 508 yards and four scores, with 217 of those yards going to Louis Geyer. Allen also rushed for another four touchdowns, giving him eight on the day.
The Surge next take the field on August 13 when they are at home to face the Munich Ravens. Meanwhile, Milano heads to Barcelona on August 12 to take on the Barcelona Dragons.
