Spanish National League kicks off 2025 season

The Spanish National American Football League (LNFA) kicks of the 2025 season, its 31st overall, this weekend with a total of 10 teams vying for the championship.

The Spanish Bowl is scheduled to be played on May 3.

The LNFA will be divided into two conferences, East and West. The defending and back-to-back champions, the Las Rozas Black Demons, top the Western Conference, where they will compete against Osos Rivas, the Coslada Camioneros, Gijón Mariners and Zaragoza Hurricanes. The Hurricanes moved conferences this year, after having played in the East before.

The Eastern Conference will be made up of the Badalona Dracs, L’Hospitalet Pioners, Mallorca Voltors, Barcelona Pagesos and the newly promoted Terrassa Reds, who will make their debut in the top league after being crowned champions of the LNFA Serie B in 2024.

The regular season will consist of 10 rounds and will end on the weekend of March 29/30. The two top teams in each conference will directly qualify for the semi-finals, and have home field advantage. The semi-finals are scheduled for the weekend of April 12 and 13, and the championship game, the Spanish Bowl, will be held on Saturday, May 3.
