The Badalona Dracs have announced the signing of defensive back Michael Ruttlen Jr for the 2025 Spanish National League season.
The 5-9, 194 pound, 23 year old native of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee spent the 2023 season with the Austin Peay State University Governors. Starting in all 12 games, he recorded 65 tackles, six interceptions and 10 pass deflections. He was named to the CSC Academic All District and UAC Al Academic teams for 2023 helping his team to a 9-3 record.
He spent his first four collegiate seasons at Princeton (2019-22) and in 2022 he was a First Team All-Ivy selection after recording 37 tackles (22 solo), three interceptions, and three passes defended while playing all nine games
The Dracs finished the 2024 Spanish season with a perfect 8-0 regular season record but were eliminated in the semifinals by eventual champions, the Las Rozas Black Demons.
