Spain: Alpha Jalloh leads Terrassa Reds to impressive road win over Mallorca Voltors

Behind three touchdowns from Alpha Jalloh, the Terrassa Reds (3-1), newcomers to Spain’s National League of American Football, LNFA, notched their third win of the season this past weekend beating the Mallorca Voltors (1-3) 28-20 on the road.
With the victory, the Reds keep pace with the conference-leading Badalona Dracs.
The Reds opened the scoring late in the first quarter when quarterback Rubén Beltrán hit Jalloh in stride down the sideline for a 30 yard touchdown strike. Still in the first quarter, Jalloh found the end zone again, this time on a 56 yard scamper after lining up as the quarterback, giving Terrassa a 14-0 lead heading in the second stanza.
Mallorca finally found the scoreboard after quarterback Diego Lliteras marched his team down to the Terrassa six yard line and then on a second and goal hit receiver Gabriel Quigley coming across the middle for a touchdown. The extra point snap was bungled leaving the score 14-6 in favor of the visitors.
Quigley scored again two possessions later, this time on a handoff from Lliteras bulling his way into the end zone from five yards out to narrow the gap to 14-12.
Early in the third quarter, the Reds extended the lead as Jalloh tossed a pass to wide receiver Dandre Fuller who raced 30 yards untouched to make it 21-12.
With Mallorca unable to find the end zone again, Jalloh scored his third touchdown of the game early in the fourth quarter after finding a seam and racing 44 yards for the score.
Lliteras then led the Voltors on a 72 yard scoring drive, marching them down to the two yard line. Running back José Manuel Pascual powered his way into the end zone and then Quigley added the two point conversion to close the gap to 24-20 with time still left on the clock.
However, the Reds recovered the onside kick and marched down to the Voltors five yard line before kneeling the game out.
The loss leaves Mallorca in last place in the LNFA East conference midway through the season.
