Serbian champions, the Kragujevac Wild Boars, continue to focus on the running game with the signing of running back Dorian Cowart.
The 5’8″, 185 pound, 26 year old Cowart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida spent the last two years of his college career at the University of South Dakota Mines where he rushed for 1,458 yards in two seasons scoring 12 touchdowns while catching 57 passes for 611 yards and another two scores.
Cowart spent the 2019 season playing for the Frankfurt Pirates (German Div. III), helping them to a 9-3 overall record and advancement to the GFL2 in Germany. Prior to that, he played arena football for the Sioux City Bandits.
Wild Boars General Manager Miloš Gemaljević:
“In Dorian we found versatility in the running back position, where he can run between the tackles and catch the ball in the open field as well. That has shown to be a key part to the success of our offense in recent years, and we are happy to get to work with Dorian. The other side is that we like how he overcame adversity during his college career and his positive character will fit well with Wild Boars, as we are a big family on and off the field.”
