Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Stojanovic, to the Belgrade Blue Dragons football team and the entire American football community in Serbia.
The 29 year old Stojanovic had been living on Malta where he had been heavily involved in flag football since moving there in July 2017.
He played for the Blue Dragons last season and in 2006 to 2009 and was known as a special teams assassin. He had also played for the Vrbas Hunters and the Zemun Highlanders (now Pirates) in Serbia. The fun-loving Stojanović was the web site administrator for the Blue Dragons.
Blue Dragons head coach James J. Fayed:
“‘Kisili’ was a special guy on and off the field. I am deeply saddened by this tragic news. He was taken way too soon. One of the best kick cover guys I have seen in Europe. He truly loved the sport, playing, writing and being a part of it. He will truly be missed.”
