The Raiders Tirol of the European League of Football (ELF) have re-signed massive Swedish offensive lineman Oscar Strömstedt.
The 6 ‘10, 342 pound 25 year old Strömstedt has developed into a dominant offensive lineman. He was a key factor in the Raiders success in 2024 helping the offense to a number 2 ranking in rushing yards. He came to the Raiders after spending three seasons with the Tyresö Royal Crowns helping them move from the Swedish second division up to the top league in Sweden, the Superseries where they finished fourth in 2022. This was when he first began to earn some notoriety.
Following the ‘22 Superseries season in Sweden, Strömstedt signed to play in the Maple League, Finland’s top league, with the Seinäjoki Crocodiles. The then 23-year old had an immediate impact and played a vital role on the Crocodiles’ massively improved team. Despite failing to win the Maple Bowl, Strömstedt was named to the AFF All Finland Team First Team Offense in 2022 and to the SAJL 2023 All Stars Offensive Right Tackle.
Now, entering his second season in the ELF, Strömstedt is being regarded as possibly one of the top lineman in Europe.
