The Paris Football Team of the European League of Football (ELF) have secured French running back Jason Augemon for the 2023 season.
Augemon has been a staple in European football for years winning multiple French championships with Flash de la Courneuve, a European Championship with the French National Team in 2018 and two productive years in the ELF.
The 5’ 10″, 203 pound running back joined the ELF in its inaugural year with the Leipzig Kings where he rushed for 518 yards and three touchdowns. Augemon chose to remain in the ELF in 2022 and signed for the Rhein Fire where he managed to rack up 337 yards and three touchdowns as the second part in a twin-headed rushing attack which also included Daniel Rennich.
Augemon’s raw power and athleticism, made evident as a former member of the French national four-man bobsleigh team, will surely be utilized on the field with the Paris Football Team. But more importantly, his experience on the national team and time spent with the Flash will allow him to act as a leader and anchor for the newly formed team.
Augemon is just the latest in a slew of high-profile signings that include French linemen Mamadou Sy and Mamoudou Doumboya along with wide receiver Kyle Sweet. Augemon’s signing may also prove to be a calling signal for all other French talent to return home and pack out Paris Football Team’s roster with phenomenal talent.
