Paris Football Team sign French ELF All-Star wideout Remi Bertellin

The Paris Football Team, European League of Football’s (ELF) newest member, has signed French receiver Remi Bertellin for the 2023 season.

Bertellin began his football career in Fontenay-sous-Bois with the Météores before heading to Quebec, Canada in 2013 to play college football at McGill University (RSEQ). Bertellin had an outstanding four-year career racking up 65 receptions for 1,012 yards and six touchdowns.

The 6 ‘0, 185 pound receiver returned to the Météores in 2018 and played a further two years in France before joining the Barcelona Dragons in the ELF’s inaugural season. Teamed up with quarterback Zach Edwards, Bertellin was able to amass 750 yards and seven touchdowns in nine games. The Frenchmen finished the season fourth in the league in receiving yards earning an ELF All-Star nod.

The 28-year-old Bertellin returned to France once again this year and joined one of the country’s domestic powerhouses in the Thonon Black Panthers. Despite a dominant regular season, the Black Panthers fell painstakingly short in the championship game to the La Courneuve (Paris) Flash.

Bertellin will once again be back in the ELF this year, paired with the American All-Star receiver Kyle Sweet, the man who replaced him in Barcelona in 2022.
