The Paris Football Team has signed French defensive end Stanley Zeregbe for the 2023 European League of Football (ELF) season.
The 6 ‘2, 235-pound Zeregbe played his first two senior years with French heavyweights Flash le Courneuve in 2017 and 2018 where he racked up 16 sacks on his way to two national titles.
In 2019, Zeregbe made his way over to cross-country rivals Thonon Black Panthers where he earned himself another national championship but more importantly a taste of European competition against the Milano Seamen and Swarco Raiders.
Determined to play on a bigger stage, Zeregbe signed with the Ravensburg Razorbacks of the German Football League (GFL) in 2021 where he was able to tally 32 tackles and 10 sacks – both second in the league – as well as play in one of the best leagues Europe had to offer.
Sensing a shift in power, the then 24-year-old Zeregbe signed with the Berlin Thunder of the ELF and played a significant role in a front seven that included Kyle Kitchens and David Izinyon. In 11 games for the Thunder, Zeregbe showed his elite burst and power as he totalled 44 tackles including 6.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
Zeregbe will now be returning home to Paris and joining a stacked team seemingly intent on bringing back as much elite French talent from abroad as it can.
Paris Football Team President Frantzy Dorlean praised the young Frenchman:
“Stanley is a ferocious pass rusher! He has established a reputation of being an aggressive and unblockable defensive lineman against opposing offensive linemen. We are looking forward to seeing him representing our colors in the 2023 season on and off the field.”
