One team dominates stats leader board after Week 3 in Sweden
The overall stats compiled for the Swedish Superserien definitely make it clear how much one team is dominating the season so far with the Stockholm Mean Machines leading every major offensive category.
All four teams, the Stockholm Mean Machines, Carlstad Crusaders, Örebro Black Knights and Uppsala 86ers have reached the midpoint of the season.
Passing
Mean Machines QB Tim Morovick has had by far the best start of all the quarterbacks despite missing the first game. In two games he has thrown for 404 yards and 6 TDs. Behind him is Danny Farley of the Carlstad Crusaders who also missed the first game of the season. He threw for 205 yards in his two games while teammate Alf Ransjö has one full game under his belt and threw for 164 yards and 3 TDs in that one. Mean Machines backup Jan Weinreich played the first game and threw for 155 yards while Örebro Black Knights Jake Sisson has thrown for 120 yards in the game and a half he has played.
Rushing
Morovick has already proven how dangerous he is also leading the league in rushing yards with 154 after two games. Black Knights rugged running back Kasper Wedberg has 142 yards in three games while his counterpart with Stockholm, Tim Göransson has 121. Carlstad’s Emil Knutsson has rushed for 115 yards while his teammate Emil Östlund has 113 yards.
Receiving
Here again, a Stockholm player tops the category and in fact the first three spots are owned by Mean Machines players. Pär Lindelöf has been one of Stockholm’s go to receivers and now has 147 yards with teammate Edvin Almeida Taborda right behind with 142 yards and a league-best 5 TD catches. Felix Grönqvist is third with 116 yards while Carlstad’s Jacob Bergwall is the 4th leading receiver with 109. Jimmy Palmborg of the Örebro Black Knights with his 93 yards is 5th.
