Week 5 of the NFL league can best be described as tide-shifting. The Cowboys took a 10 to 42 thrashing from the yet-to-be-beaten San Francisco 49ers. The only other team in the league yet to take a loss is the Eagles. The better 5-0 team of the two can only be tested in the 13th week when they meet in Philadelphia. Sunday’s game against the Cowboys is a proof of Brock Purdy’s genius. The 49ers are definitely a favorite for most with an offense that is probably in their best form ever.
How deep is Bill Belichick’s team sinking? Yet another disappointing performance from the Patriots who got a 0-34 beating from the visiting Saints. After being benched in the last two games QB Mac Jones starts for the Patriots in their week 6 game against Raiders. Let’s stick around and see what is in store for Belichicks team.
A total of 14 games were played in week 5. The Washington Commanders lost 20-40 to the Chicago Bears. The Jaguars won 25-20 against the Bills. Green Bay Packers, the second team in NFC North, lost 13-17 in their campaign against the Raiders.
The New York Jets face the Eagles in week 6 without OL Alijah Vera-Tucker who is on injured reserve for a torn achilles. The Jets have WR Irvin Charles (active roster), OL Dennis Kelly (practice squad), DE Elerson Smith (practice squad) joining their squad.
