NFL Week 5 Review – The Most Interesting Matches

After NFL week 5 New England Patriots are the only team without a loss in the current NFL season after Kansas City Chiefs were defeated by Indianapolis Colts.

Let’s take a look at short game reviews and the most interesting moments during the weekend.

One of the biggest games was played in Texas where Dallas Cowboys welcomed Green Bay Packers. The visiting Packers gained big lead in the early stages of this match. Nine players have caught at least one pass from quarterback Aaron Rodgers.  However, Rodgers didn’t have any touchdown passes, and the man of the match was Green Bay running back Aaron Jones with 107 running yards and four touchdowns.

On the Dallas side we had Dak Prescott performing poorly which is not a surprise considering his current contract status. He had three passes intercepted, but also threw 464 yards, 226 of which to Amari Cooper. Dallas have started playing much better in the second half but still lost the match 24-34, currently sitting with three wins and two losses. Green Bay Packers are having a great time this season with 80% win rate. According to bettingtips4You they are going to be big favorites in the upcoming match against Detroit Lions as well.

Pittsburgh Steelers welcomed their big rivals Baltimore Ravens and we have seen one hell of a match. No one expected to see a lot of points here really. The visiting side took 26-23 victory in overtime, mainly thanks to much higher possession. Game winning point, a field goal from 46 yards, was scored by Justin Tucker. The back line was not impressive at all this time, allowing more than five yards per play to Steelers. Terrell Suggs was supposed to be one of the most important bricks in the back, but that hasn’t been the case last weekend. Lamar Jackson had one of his worst performances this season, having three interceptions. Pittsburgh’s defense is doing much better job this season with 19 sacks already. Pass-rushing plan was a disaster though. They are now at the bottom of the division with one victory and four losses, so Sunday’s clash against San Diego Chargers is of huge importance. With Big Ben Roethlisberger being sidelined, getting into the playoffs is going to be close to a mission impossible. Ravens are at 3-2 and they will play Bengals next weekend.

The highest-scoring game of the week was played in Georgia. Atlanta Falcons welcomed Houston Texans and we had a grand total of 85 points here. Houston were victorious 53-32, earning their third victory of the season. Home fans are surely going to have nightmares about Will Fuller in upcoming months. Falcons did a really poor job in the back, making silly mistakes and allowing Fuller two touchdowns in the first half. He eventually ended the game with 14 catches on 16 different targets for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Deshaun Watson on the other side threw five touchdown passes, while also having very high passer rating and traumatizing Falcons’ defenders. The response to a poor game and awful numbers in a match against Carolina last week was sensational. There is no doubt that Houston are going to be a huge threat to all other AFC south teams this season. Atlanta on the other hand are going to have rough time getting anywhere close to the playoffs with this back line. They are currently at one victory and four losses.
