The European League of Football’s fourth season is only less than a month away, as 17 teams from nine counties will be battling for the ELF championship game on September 22nd.
This season will feature arguably the league’s most talented group of quarterbacks yet, as most of the league’s top passers return, along with nine new starting quarterbacks.
Let’s take a look at the exciting new talent behind center entering the European League of Football this season starting off with the Central Division which will feature three new starting quarterbacks for the Barcelona Dragons, Milano Seamen, and Raiders Tirol.
Levi Lewis – Barcelona Dragons (Central Conference)
The 25-year-old 5’11 dual-threat passer comes to the ELF after a decorated DI NCAA career at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
In Louisiana, Lewis set the school record for passing touchdowns at 74, breaking former NFL quarterback Jake Delhomme’s record. Throughout his college career, Lewis also proved to be a dynamic runner putting 1,088 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns to go along with over 8,000 passing yards. The Ragin Cajuns passer led his team to a 34-3 record during his time as a starter proving he can win at a high level. His impressive college play makes his resume one of the best of any of the new quarterbacks entering the league.
The Baton Rouge native spent time with the Seattle Seahawks and the CFL’s Saskatchewan Roughriders before signing with the Barcelona Dragons in February. Look for Lewis too target new receivers Imoni Donadelle and Aaron David along with tight end Stephen Mcclusky.

Zack Bronkhorst – Milano Seamen (Central Conference)
The Texas-raised quarterback comes to Milan to replace long-time Seamen quarterback Luke Zahradka. The international rookie recently finished his college career at Angelo State University (NCAA DII) where he threw for 6,359 yards and 49 touchdowns, earning all-conference honors two years in a row. During his senior year in 2022, Bronkhorst threw for 3,186 yards and 26 touchdowns and only six interceptions, keeping a high touchdown to interception ratio for his career (2.8).
The 6’3 225-pound quarterback hopes to help Milan improve off of a losing record in 2023 going into their second season competing in the ELF. Expect him to target new speedy receiver Tommy Wilson, along with homegrown receiver Juan Flores-Calderon who won Rookie of the Year last season. Joining Bronkhorst in the backfield is former Houston University DI running back Patrick Carr.
This dude right here had a pretty good season leading his team, @ASURamFootball, to the NCAA D2 Quarterfinals. Incredibly proud of him and can’t wait to see what his senior year brings. #RamFam @zach_bronkhorst pic.twitter.com/mLUyi9BOh3

Dangelo Fulford – Raiders Tirol (Central Conference)
Fulford lands in Innsbruck after spending the past two seasons in the CFL in 2021 and XFL in 2023 as a prep-season and backup quarterback. Before that, the now 26-year-old was a dominant player at the NCAA DIII level garnering three All-American team honors as the starting quarterback for the Mount Union Purple Raiders.
The 6’2 quarterback has the most college wins of any ELF quarterback with a 40-2 as starter in college and won the 2017 DIII national championship. Fulford finished his collegiate career with videogame-like numbers throwing for 9,482 yards and 134 touchdowns with only 14 interceptions.
The Florida native can also tuck and run the ball rushing for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns during that time. The All-American and national champion now hopes to get the Raiders back into title contention, working with new Raiders head coach and Super Bowl champion Jim Herrman. The Raiders also bring back talented homegrown receivers Marco Schneider and Adrian Platzgummer to go along with American Import Darion Chafin.
