New England Patriots favorite for Super Bowl 2019
Despite it being almost a full year away, the odds for next year’s Super Bowl winner are already available with most bookmakers and a large number of punters are already backing who they think is most capable of being crowned winner.
American football is one of the most entertaining sports, but it doesn’t get quite as much coverage globally as it deserves. Luckily, sites like TeamFA put extra effort in to cover all the action surrounding the NFL, with their own betting previews, predictions, the latest odds, special markets and insightful NFL tips.
Providing odds for a competition that will only result on 3rd February 2019 shows a lot of organisation from the bookmakers, and it’s not just the key bookies who are getting on board, as even the vaguer ones out there have priced up all teams in contention, so there’s more hype around it than ever before.
Current favourites for Super Bowl LIII are:
New England Patriots at 6/1
After losing in shocking circumstances to the Philadelphia Eagles in the last Super Bowl final, the New England Patriots are already expected to bounce right back in their follow-up attempt. After record winning side Pittsburgh Steelers, who have six Superbowl wins to their name, New England Patriots have the joint-second highest number of wins alongside Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers, who all have five wins.
Their record isn’t only strong for winning the Super Bowl over their history, but they’ve also been successful in recent times, coming out on top in four of the last eight attempts, where they even won it in succession over 2016 and 2017.
Philadelphia Eagles at 10/1
Following on from a massively unforeseen win over regular NFL giants New England Patriots, the Philadelphia Eagles have forced their way into contention, which is reflected in being pitted as the second favourite in terms of odds with a 10/1 price made extremely appetising after last year’s efforts.
The last time the Philadelphia Eagles made it to the Superbowl Final was back in 2004 and the only previous appearance was in 1980, so it was a massive achievement for them to win it last time around, which is hoped will prompt more success in future years if they can keep hold of their most important players in the next draft.
Pittsburgh Steelers at 11/1
Sitting with the highest number of Superbowl wins, Pittsburgh Steelers had to rank somewhere in terms of odds, even if their current record isn’t quite as strong as the two teams ahead of them.
They’ve featured in eight finals and the last dates back to 2010, so their chances of making it to winning another in this next attempt are based almost entirely on their record rather than the likelihood of them lifting the trophy in their current condition.
