Paris Musketeers RB Chris Voumbo: “I create a dome around myself and do my job”
After over a month on the road due to the Olympics in the French capital the Paris Musketeers finally returned home to Stade Jean-Bouin Stadium. In their homecoming the Musketeers punched their ticket to the playoffs with a 15-12 overtime win over the Madrid Bravos.
Paris running back Chris Vuombo commented on the win:
“We were very excited to play at home again. We made some new fans and saw them mixing with the old fans and we got the win in front of them.”
The bruising tailback was able to pick up a key touchdown and move the chains in a game that resembled a flooded swamp as rain continued to pour down throughout the day. The veteran ball carrier scored a touchdown and ran for 55 yards giving Paris’s offense a much needed boost on a field that made it extremely difficult to move the ball.
