Most Valuable American Football Teams (2019)
Just like any other year, all the talk when it comes to American football at the start of the year is centered on the Super Bowl.
2019 is by no means different.
Many pundits, fans and punters who during this year’s Super Bowl can try betting in play are all talking about the possibility of New England raking up another Super Bowl title (something which is now becoming more of a pattern) while others are weighing up the chances of the Rams to cause an upset. Regardless of which side you find yourself on, this article is not going to focus on the Super Bowl, rather, it’s going to share with you a list of the most valuable American football teams for this calendar year.
#1. Dallas Cowboys
For those who follow such type of news, you probably know that the Dallas Cowboys for the past few years has been occupying pole position in terms of the most valuable football teams globally (and also on the list of the most valuable sports teams in general!).
As such, it’s really no surprise that in 2019, the Dallas Cowboys still find themselves on pole position.
Last year, the Dallas Cowboys was valued at $4.2 billion and this year, its value has risen by 14 percent to $4.8 billion.
#2. New England Patriots
In second place is New England Patriots, the now Super Bowl ‘perennial’ champions. For the past few seasons, the value of the New England Patriots has been on the rise and it’s not difficult to see the reason behind. In the past few years, the team has been progressing immensely on the field of play something which has been demonstrated by the fact that the team has reached the Super Bowl on more than one occasion in the last five years. That progression and the subsequent good performances in the Super Bowl have enabled New England Patriots to significantly increase its year on year income whilst new sponsors and partners have come on board. In addition, traditional sponsors who have been with the team for years now have also significantly improved their sponsorship deals with the New England Patriots.
Once again, New England Patriots are going to feature in the Super Bowl this year and one can only assume that this will help to further the economic fortunes of the team.
Currently, New England Patriots are valued at $3.7 billion.
#3. New York Giants
In the third position is the New York Giants. In terms of performances on the field of play, the New York Giants have not been putting in the sort of performances expected from the team. However, that has not affected the club’s financial standing. Instead, despite the team’s indifferent results on the field of play, the club has actually managed to improve its valuation. Sponsors have irked more lucrative deals with the club, gate takings have also improved while TV money has also increased notwithstanding also the input from the owners of the club who have been chipping in with a few dollars when it comes to acquiring players.
Currently, New York Giants are valued at $3.3 billion.
