The Milano Seamen of the European League of Football (ELF) have announced the signing of Angelo State University (DII, NCAA) alumnus Zach Bronkhorst as their new quarterback.
This will mark the first time the Seamen will start the season with a quarterback whose name isn’t Luke Zahradka since 2017.
Born, raised, and educated in Texas, the 24 year old Bronkhorst has played in arguably one of the most competitive football states in America. The 6’ 3, 225-pound dual threat quarterback played for the Angelo State Rams between 2017–2022 – only starting two full seasons – and racked up 6,359 yards and 49 touchdowns through the air, and 378 yards and 10 touchdowns with his legs.
Bronkhorst was widely considered as one of the best quarterbacks in the conference for his final two years, being named to the All-LSC Second Team Offense in 2021 and All-LSC First Team Offense in 2022.
After searching high and low for a high caliber signal caller, the Seamen have found one in Bronkhorst.
