The ONEFA Mexican college league has finished its regular season with the quarterfinal berths now determined. The 19 team league is now down to eight. As expected the 7-0 UANL Tigres finished first overall and occupy the top spot heading into the playoffs and have home field advantage throughout.
The UNAM Pumas jump into the number two slot after their 16-6 victory over the Águilas Blancas. The two remaining host team spots go to the Cancún Leones and the UVM Linces.

UANL Autenticos Tigres v. UVM Linces
The Tigres had no trouble handling the Linces (Bobcats) last week beating them 31-0. This game should end up more or less the same. The Tigres had the best offense in the ONEFA in 2015 scoring 332 points while also producing the top defense giving up no more than 52 points in seven games.

UNAM Pumas v. Univ. anahuac Cancún Leones
The Pumas enter this game after posting a 5-2 record on the year and defeating the Leones 34-22 in the second week of league play. The Pumas had the second best offense and defense in the ONEFA while the Leones had one of the worst defenses. The Pumas should advance to the semifinals from this game

UAdeC Lobos v. Acatlán Pumas
The Lobos boast the second best record in the league finishing at 7-1 in the White division. Meanwhile the Acatlán Pumas barely squeaked into the playoffs at 3-5 after losing the last four games of the regular season. The Lobos should move on.

UAEM Potros Salvajes v. UACH Águilas
This could be the game of the quarterfinals. The 5-3 Potros Salvajes have won two of their final three games of the regular season as did the 4-3 Águilas. . The nod in this one may go to the Águilas as they averaged almost a touchdown more a game than the Potros.
