Brazil’s Lusa Lions Sign Clayton Lovett as Defensive Coach

On the evening of Monday, April 18th, Lusa Lions announced the signing of the experienced American coach Clayton Lovett. Since 2010 in Brazil, Lovett was of part of the defensive coaching team for the national team, the Brasil Onças, Lovett explains this new challenge.
“One of the things that attracted me to the team was the level of organization. Here, I can come and train players as an assistant coach. There aren’t more responsibilities. Also impressed me that they understand that excellence is a long process. They know we have a long way to go and are willing to work to evolve. “
The coach took the opportunity to thank the support that he has received in the team of Lions in São Paulo.
“It’s great to be part of the team. We have much work to do and everything will be pleasant because of the infrastructure that the Lions gives us. I am grateful for the support of head coach Paulo Henrique, defensive coordinator Robert Coker and president Renato Afonso.”
Lions starts the regular season of Torneio Touchdown on the road, on June 28th, playing against Tritões, in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo.
