The University of West England Bullets (1-0) will host the Birmingham Lions (1-1) this Saturday in week four of the BUCS Premier season.
The Lions last game saw them pick up their first win of the season against the Cardiff Cobras, taking a 27-17 win at home against Cardiff, who went winless last season. The game prior saw them leave Portsmouth with a 17-14 loss against the newly-promoted Destroyers.
The Bullets came out firing in their season opener, taking a huge 60-0 win over a very young and talented SGS PRiDE side as UWE debuted their star-studded recruiting class.
The game saw Jadrian Clark (Rhein Fire) make a statement in his BUCS debut, leading the offense to touchdowns on every drive.
Five of Clark’s scores came by way of Jason-Matthew Sharsh (Hawaii Rainbow Warriors) receiving touchdowns, whose NCAA DI experience was on full show as he complimented his jaw-dropping receiving performance with a punt return touchdown in the final quarter.
Alongside the countless international talents on the team, British receiver Harry Buckland (Formerly SGS PRiDE, Swindon Storm) as well as receiver/defensive back Jahmoy Stewart-Sinclair (Formerly NFL Academy, Ottawa Sooners (CJFL) showed that they will be ones to watch as the season progresses.
