LIVESTREAM U19 Euros: Team Italy @ Team Germany, April 19, 14:00 CET (2 pm, 8 am ET)
Germany will play host to Team Italy Saturday, April 19 at the Dietrich Lang Sportzentrum in Neu-Ulm as the 2024/25 IFAF European Junior Football Championships continue.
The Germans lost 23-22 to Team Sweden last fall in a thriller which saw Sweden take a 20-6 lead into the fourth quarter only to watch as the host Germans stormed back and came within seconds of winning the game but were thwarted.
Team Italy fell 36-16 to Finland to eliminate them from medal round play.
Germany head coach Peter Daletzki said:
“We just got done with our last practice in preparation for the game against Italy. After a great week with our team, I can say that we are confident to put up a great show on Saturday for the crowd. We’re excited to finally get to play with this great group of guys.”
Team Italy head coach Giorgio Longhi:
“Germany’s junior team is a tough opponent. We know they’ll be hungry, and we’re preparing to match their intensity on every snap.”
