The defending Swiss champion Calanda Broncos (2-0) will play host to the Winterthur Warriors (0-2) at Obere Au sports complex in Chur, Switzerland.

The Broncos, winners of five Swiss championships since 2015, have opened the Swiss season with two straight wins, beating the Thun Tigers 49-21 and then the Basel Gladiators 34-15. Meanwhile, Winterthur dropped a 34-6 decision to the Bern Grizzlies and then lost to the Tigers 35-20.

Calanda will rely on quarterback Chase Andries whose favorite target is wide receiver/defensive back Max Gray who returned to the team after winning the title with the Broncos in 2019.

Veteran signal caller Richard Wartmann will be behind center for the Warriors and one of his key targets is young wide receiver Leroy Rümmeli who caught a touchdown pass in the season opener against Bern
