The 9-0 Murcia Cobras will play host to the 8-1 LG OLED Black Demons Saturday, May 19 in the first game of the semifinals in the Spanish League of American Football, LNFA.
The Cobras, winners of LNFA Group B sailed through their quarterfinal game two weeks ago, easily disposing of the Mallorca Voltors, 35-14. Meanwhile, the Black Demons, who finished second in Group C, had a tougher time of it in downing the Coslada Camioneros 22-12.
Offensively, not much separates the two teams. The Black Demons averaged 39.8 points a game while Murcia scored an average of 36.6 points a game. The Cobras gave up 5 points a game while LG OLED allowed eight.
Murcia quarterback Jordan Perry and wide receiver Cory Holmes can be a deadly combination. For the Black Demons, quarterback Jason Gaines and wide receiver Timothy Crenshaw have been tough for defenses to deal with.
