The Badalona Dracs and LG OLED Las Rozas Black Demons will face each other in the Spanish Cup final, Sunday, December 15 in El Masnou, Spain.
This Cup final though is played without import players from the United States, Canada or Mexico.
Badalona are defending league and Cup champions and will be looking to win their fourth straight Spanish Cup title and sixth overall. The Black Demons, meanwhile, are making their fourth trip to the Cup final and third in a row, hoping to win the Cup for the first time.
To reach the final, the Dracs eliminated the Alcobendas Cavaliers in the quarterfinals 23-0 and Pioners de L’Hospitalet in the semis 34-7, while the Black Demons disposed of the Murcia Cobras 20-0 and Coslada Camioneros 31-13. Last year’s Cup final, held in Guadalajara, ended with a 24-0 win by Badalona.
Badalona will have veteran Sergi Gonzalo behind center while David de Diego will be the quarterback for the Black Demons.
