The Badalona Dracs (2-1) will host the surprising unbeaten Terrassa Reds (2-0) Saturday, February 1 at Estadio Municipal in Barcelona in the third weekend of action in Spain’s Liga Nacional de Fútbol Americano.
The Reds, who are new to the top league this season, opened with a 21-0 win over the Barcelona Pagesos and then defeated L’Hospitalet Pioners 19-16 in week #2. Badalona beat the Pioners 42-14 in their season opener but were then upset by the Mallorca Voltors 24-22 om week #2 action. They rebounded with a 32-23 win over the Barcelona Pagesos last week.
Badalona quarterback Pol Singelton leads the league with 11 touchdown passes while running back Keshawn Williams (University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff/NCAA Div. I) is the leading scorer in the league with 32 points.
For the Reds, quarterback Rubén Beltrán is the key. He will rely on wide receivers Biel Folch and Jacobo Senise as well as running back Charlemagne Take Hamza.
