The unbeaten and defending Spanish champion Badalona Dracs (3-0) will play host to the 2-1 Murcia Cobras in a rematch of the 2018 Spanish title game in the game of the week in the Spanish American Football League.
In that championship game, Badalona had to come from behind to defeat the Cobras 33-26.
The Dracs have opened the 2019 campaign in impressive fashion. In beating the Valencia Firebats (46-12), Zaragoza Hurricanes (54-0) and Mallorca Voltors (48-7), the Dracs have outscored their opponents 148-19. Quarterback Hunter Correll has thrown 16 touchdown passes with Taylor Ekström catching five of those. Linebacker Terrell Woods leads a formidable defense which also includes Jorge Hernández, Jorge Ruiz and Felipe Archila.
For Murcia, wide receiver Cory Holmes has returned for the 2019 season and quarterback Adam Salvadori has started to feel comfortable. The Cobras surprisingly dropped their opening game 41-6 to the Las Rozas Black Demons but rebounded to blank the Granada Lions 48-0 and Fuengirola Potros 41-0.
