LIVESTREAM Spain: Mallorca Voltors @ Barcelona Pagesos, Feb. 2, 12:00 CET (12 noon, 6 am ET)

The Mallorca Voltors (1-1) will be trying to get back to their winning ways Sunday, February 2 when they travel to Barcelona to face the Barcelona Pagesos (0-2) as the Spanish National League of American Football winds up the fourth weekend of play.

The Voltors dropped a 16-14 decision last week to the L’Hospitalet Pioners after opening the season by defeating league powerhouse the Badalona Dracs 24-22 on the opening weekend of play.

The Pagesos will be aiming to win their first game ever in Spain’s top league. They lost 21-0 to the Terrassa Reds to open the season and then 32-23 to the Dracs last weekend to extend their losing streak to 10 consecutive games dating back to the start of the 2024 season.

Barcelona’s Mexican quarterback Víctor Andrés Puentes tossed two touchdown passes to wide receiver Sergio Cebado in last week’s loss to the Dracs. In fact, the Pagesos put a scare into the Badalona supporters after taking the lead in the third quarter on a pick six by defensive back Eric López. In other words, the Pagesos have upped their level of play and could surprise the visiting Voltors today.

Mallorca quarterback Diego Lliteras threw a touchdown pass to Gabriel Quigley in last week’s loss and added another one on the ground while Quigley scored on a two-point conversion. This duo could pose problems for the Barcelona defense today.
