The 6-0 Badalona Dracs will play host to the 3-3 Mallorca Voltors Sunday March 24 at Campo Badalona Sud stadium in Barcelona, Spain as the Spanish League of American Football heads into second half of the season.
This is the second meeting between the two teams this year. Badalona took the first one easily, 48-7.
Last week the Dracs manhandled the Zaragoza Hurricanes 60-0 to remain the only unbeaten team in Spain. In that game. Dracs QB Hunter Correll had a field day throwing six touchdown passes. The Dracs have opened the 2019 campaign beating the Valencia Firebats twice 46-12 and 58-8, the Hurricanes, the Voltors (48-7), Murcia Cobras (49-26), the Dracs have outscored their opponents 315-53. Quarterback Hunter Correll has now thrown 36 touchdown passes with receivers Guillem García and Taylor Ekström being is main targets. Linebacker Terrell Woods leads a formidable defense which also includes Jorge Hernández, Jorge Ruiz and Felipe Archila.
Mallorca lost last week to the Firebats 33-6 after winning two in a row, beating up on the Hurricanes 45-8 and Fuengirola Potros 41-0. In that game, Voltors quarterback Craig Coffman threw six touchdown passes with receivers Carlos Vega (3 TDs), Miguel Salva March (2) and Marcos Javier Molina (1) the recipients of his scoring strikes.
Unfortunately, this could be a long afternoon for Coffman and the Voltors. The Dracs are hitting their stride and they have not lost a game at home since April 11, 2015.
