The Spanish National League of American Football, LNFA, heads into its seventh weekend of play with matchup of the top two teams in the West Division as the 3-2 Las Rozas Black Demons visit the unbeaten Osos Rivas (5-0) in Madrid.
This is the second meeting between the two teams this season. Osos Rivas downed a stubborn Black Demons squad 16-13 two months ago.
The team from Madrid has looked impressive so far this year. They started the year by blanking the Cobras 35-0 and had no trouble with the Mariners, beating them 34-17. They got by the Black Demons 16-13 and then whipped the Fuengirola Potros 41-0 and the Mariners 34-3, and now sit firmly in first place in the LNFA West division. The Black Demons lost to the Murcia Cobras 17-13 to open the season before losing to the Osos. They then reeled off three straight convincing wins beating the Mariners 49-3, the Potros 48-13 before taking care of the Cobras 30-22 two weeks ago.
This could be the best matchup of the weekend in Spain and with Las Rozas now on a roll, an upset may well be in the making.
