The 0-2 Coslada Camioneros will play host to the 1-0 Las Rozas Black Demons Sunday, February 2 as the Spanish League of American Football heads into its third weekend.
The Camioneros lost their season opener to the Fuengirola Potros 16-6 and then were pummelled 45-0 by the Murcia Cobras. Las Rozas, Spanish finalists in 2019, opened their 2020 season with a 21-6 win over the Cobras.
In the only game between the two in 2019, the Black Demons came out on top in the semifinals, 33-13.
The Black Demons will continue to rely on quarterback Trenton Jones (41 TD passes last year) and receiver Evan Altizer, who was the leading points getter in Spain last year with 156 points. They have also added linebacker Mason Brunner of Butler University.
For the Camioneros, the signing of German safety Christian Köppe (two-time German Bowl winner with New Yorker Lions) will hopefully help to shore up a defense which is the second worst in the league.
