The reigning Spanish champion Las Rozas Black Demons (2-0) will play host to the Gijon Mariners (0-1) Saturday, January 25 at the  Campo de Rugby El Cantizal in Madrid as the Spanish National League of American Football enters its third weekend of action.

Las Rozas opened the season with a 21-14 victory over arch rivals and Spanish final opponents, Osos Rivas and followed that up with a resounding 49-6 win over the Zaragoza Hurricanes. The Mariners dropped their opening game 33-17 to the Coslada Camioneros.

In the two meetings between the teams in 2024, Las Rozas won easily defeating the Mariners 55-3 and 49-7.

Black Demons quarterback Theo Landers has thrown five touchdown passes so far this season while scoring three more on his own. This is his third season with the team and has been a key to their success.

Gijon quarterback Spencer Moore will be tested by the tough Black Demons defense that has allowed just 20 points in two games-
