The 2nd-ranked Osos Rivas (3-2) will play host to the Coslada Camioneros (3-2), Saturday, March 1 in Spain’s Liga Nacional de Fútbol Americano.
The Osos defeated the Camioneros 35-10 in the first meeting between these two teams.
Osos Rivas fell 17-7 to the Las Rozas Black Demons a week ago. They had thumped the Gijon Mariners 38-0 the week before after defeating the Zaragoza Hurricanes 42-10 and the Camioneros 35-10. In the opening game of the season, Osos lost 21-14 to the Black Demons.
Coslada are coming off a 48-10 thumping of the Gijon Mariners which followed a solid 28-20 win over the Zaragoza Hurricanes.
The Camioneros had downed the Mariners 33-17 to open their season but dropped a 35-10 decision to Osos Rivas in Game #2. In the third weekend of action, they were no match for the Black Demons losing 40-3.
Osos quarterback Norman Douglas Jr has thrown 12 touchdown passes, good for second in the league.
