In the final game of the regular season in the Spanish League of American Football, the Osos Rivas (6-1) look to continue their four-game winning streak and leg up over the Las Rozas Black Demons as they take on the third-place team in the Spanish West league, the Coslada Camineros (4-3), who are riding high after their defeat of the Alcobendas two weeks ago.
The Camioneros form has been fairly shaky this season, dipping in and out of winning and losing, being able to beat the two lower-ranked teams in the division but losing to the Black Demons and most importantly to Osos earlier in the season.
On their four-game winning streak, Osos faced Coslada in the second game of their season and it wasn’t pretty for the Camineros as the Osos won in a 48-0 shutout.
Coslada are playing for pride after having been eliminated from playoff contention. For Osos, the game is a matter of keeping their priorities straight and not relaxing. A win assures them of first and home field advantage in the playoffs. They defeated arch rivals, the Black Demons two weeks ago 28-21 after losing to them 10-6 early in the season and thus have a three point advantage.
