LIVESTREAM: Poland – Tychy Falcons @Bialystok Lowlanders, Sat. April 6, 12p CEDT (6a EDT)
The Tychy Falcons (1-1) head to Bialystok, Poland to take on the defending champion Bialystok Lowlanders (1-1) in the third weekend of play in Poland’s Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego, Saturday, April 6.
These two teams faced each other twice in 2018 with the Lowlanders coming out on top both times, 37-12, 48-14.
Bialystok opened the season with an embarrassing 45-6 loss to the Wroclaw Panthers but rebounded last week by shutting out the Wyszkow Rhinos 41-0.
Bialystok’s new head coach Alex Burdette has now had an extra week to prepare his team. Quarterback Rex Dausin sat out of the win over the Rhinos with a minor injury but should return in this game. His duties were handled by a trio as
wide receiver Eryk Mąkowski, linebacker Zachary Blair and running back Damian Kołpak all stepped up.
The Falcons are coming off a disappointing 32-27 loss to the Gdynia Seahawks, which saw quarterback Keith Ray almost bring his team all the way back after trailing 26-7 at halftime. Ray and the offense looked very sharp in the second half of that contest so the Bialystok defense could be hard pressed today to contain them today. Tychy had opened the year with a convincing 31-13 win over the Warsaw Mets in the opening weekend of play.
This could be the game of the week in Poland.
