The Polish Football League kicks off the 2023 season with the  Silesia Rebels visiting the Tychy Falcons.

The Tychy Falcons finished the 2022 regular season with a 3-3 record and then were knocked out of the playoffs by Bialystok. The Silesia Rebels wound up with a 2-4 record but were better than their record suggested as they lost close games to the Lowlanders and Falcons late in the season.

The two teams met twice in 2022 splitting the series with a win apiece. Silesia won the opening game of the year in beating the Falcons 24-7 but Tychy returned the favor in downing the Rebels 50-44 late in the season.

For the second year in a row, the Rebels will rely on 6’1″, 210-pound David James (Western Connecticut State (NCAA DIII) at quarterback while linebacker Dre’Quan Reed (Frostburg State, NCAA Div. II) will anchor the defense.

The Falcons have signed quarterback 6’1″, 195-pound Cameron Yowell to run the offense while 6′, 215 pound defensive back/linebacker Keenan Kaulahine-Arroyo will be a key factor on defense.
