The defending champion Bialystok Lowlanders (1-3) will play host to the Polish Bowl opponents, the Silesia Rebels (2-2) as the Polish Football League heads into the second half of the season.

This is the second meeting between these two this season. The Rebels took the first game 30-19. In 2023, they only faced each other once, in the championship final with Bialystok won in a thriller, 38-35.

The Lowlanders, defending Polish champions, have struggled to find themselves in the first half of the 2024 season. However last week they finally won their first game defeating the Warsaw Mets 34-22. They had opened the season on the road, with the loss to Silesia. In week 2, they hosted the Warsaw Eagles, losing 36-14. Then they were trounced 47-21 by the Katy Wroclawskie Jaguars.

For the Rebels, the season has been up and down. They started with two straight wins against the Lowlanders and Mets (43-40) but then were beaten 48-23 by the Krakow Kings and blanked 37-0 by the Warsaw Eagles.

This is a crucial game for both teams. The Lowlanders need the win to have any chance at all of making the playoffs while Silesia needs to stay ahead of the three teams behind them in the standings to be certain of post season play.
