LIVESTREAM Poland: Poznan Armia @ Zielona Gora Wataha, March 30, 14:30 CET (2:30 pm, 8:30 am ET)

This Sunday, American football returns to Zielona Góra in its full 11-man format as the Zielona Gora Wataha (0-1) hosts the Poznań Armia (0-0) in Week 2 of the 2025 Polish Football League season.

For the home team, it’s a chance to bounce back after a tough 38-7 loss to the Kąty Wrocławskie Jaguars. For Poznań, it will be their season debut and an opportunity to test themselves after a long preseason.

The two teams are no strangers to each other – they’ve faced off several times in past years, with the Armia holding the upper hand historically. However, Zielona Gora, coming off their first 11-man game since 2022, is eager to show progress and capitalize on the experience gained in the opener.

Wataha’s Game Day Manager, Mikołaj Ksieniewicz, commented ahead of the match:

“We’re excited to bring 11-man football back to Botaniczna after such a long break. We feel there was more to our performance than the score showed in the first game. A lot of our rookies gained valuable experience, and we believe each week will see us grow stronger. Armia is just starting their season, so we hope that playing one game already will give us a slight advantage.”

Armia’s Head Coach, John Pate:

“I expect Wataha to have a balanced run-pass offense, just like in their first game. They played well in moments and will surely look to put up a fight in front of their home fans. As for us, the team is eager to finally get on the field. Despite a few key injuries, we’re optimistic and believe we have the talent to reach the playoffs, provided we stay healthy. We’re cautious, but confident.”

The game promises a clash of two different stories: a team looking to build momentum versus one just beginning its 2025 journey. All eyes will be on Zielona Góra this Sunday.
