The undefeated Wroclaw Panthers (5-0), Europe #10, face their chief rivals the 4-1 Gdynia Seahawks in Poland’s Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego at Olympic Stadium in Wroclaw.
The Panthers lead Poland’s LFA with a 5-0 record averaging almost 47 points a game while giving up 44 in five games. Gdynia has scored 155 points in five games while allowing 57.
The last time these two teams met was in April of this year when the Panthers doubled up on Gdynia, beating them 28-14.
Wroclaw has not played a game in the LFA since blanking Poznan Patrioci 64-0 three weeks ago. Since then, the Panthers defeated the Prague Black Panthers 39-22 in Central European Football League play.
Panthers head coach Nick Johansen, in his fourth year with the club, has built a powerhouse of a team winning the last two Polish championships and pushing Austria’s Swarco Raiders to the limits in a Central European Football League game in 2017. He also led the Panthers to the Champions League crown in 2016.
Wroclaw quarterback Tim Morovick and his counterpart with the Seahawks, Joey Bradley, have faced each other twice before with Morovick coming out on top both times.
