In the final regular season game of the year, the 4-3 Bialystok Lowlanders will visit the 5-2 Gdynia Seahawks at Narodowy Stadion in Gdynia, Poland Sunday, June 17 in a game to decide second place in Poland’s Liga Futbolu Amerykańskiego.
The winner earns a bye in the first round of the playoffs and home field advantage in the semifinals.The loser will have to play a wild card game in two weeks and if they win will have to play the semifinal game on the road.
These two teams met earlier this year with Gdynia coming away with a close 18-15 win. Both teams have lost their games against the Wroclaw Panthers.
The Lowlanders have the second best offense in the LFA averaging 36 points a game while Gdynia averages 28.4. However, the Seahawks have been giving up fewer points, 17 a game, compared to Bialystok’s 20.4.
The Lowlanders are led by quarterback Ryan Kasdorf a veteran of play in Europe. So far in 2018 he has thrown for 1,151 yards. Gdynia quarterback Joey Bradley, in his third season in Europe, has averaged 160 yards passing a game.
